Hacienda La Esmeralda is a farm in the mountains of western Panama located on the slopes of Mount Barú, in the munciplaity of Boquete.

Due to the climate and varietal, Esmeralda Special is a low yielding coffee, only producing about 100 bags at present. The Esmeralda Special can only be obtained through a special private auction and we are proud to be the only Canadian Roasters to have won a lot in this year’s auction, and to offer this treasure to you – the people.

This specific lot of coffee is grown in the Jarmillo region, which has an elevation of 1450m above sea level. It is 100% Geisha Varietal and is from the section of the farm called Naranjo. Truly exceptional coffee. Intensely rich aromatics, with notes of floral, citrus, berries, peach, fresh mint and lemongrass. Syrupy mouthfeel, with a sweet balanced acidity.
